Practise Leader – Mexico & Latin America

Maria Castro is Partner at KOM International, at the firm’s Mexico City location. She is also responsible for the firm's practice in Latin America.

Her responsibilities as Partner, Mexico include business development for KOM International in Mexico and Latin America, as well as planning and development of supply chain projects.

Ms. Castro has more than 15 years of experience in supply chain, operations and process reengineering for leading Latin American companies across a wide variety of industry segments. She has successfully participated in projects involving routing strategy design, forecasting and distribution planning, GPS technology implementation and strategy design, transportation management optimization, strategy network analysis, the design of new facilities, facility changeovers, and logistics strategy.

Ms. Castro is fluent in Spanish, English, and German with a Master in Industrial Engineering from the ITESM in Mexico City, a postgraduate program in framework process systems from Hochschule Wismar in Germany, and a Bachelor of Industrial and Systems Engineering ITESM in Monterrey.
