KOM International to Present at IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference 2011
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada, September 6, 2011 – KOM International Inc., a global leader in supply chain consulting, announced today that Allan Kohl, President and CEO will present at IFDA Distribution Solutions Conference 2011 in Fort Worth, Texas on Monday, October 24th at 3:00 p.m.
This Expo Session is a panel discussion on slow movers. “Typically slow movers are items that ship less than 15 cases per week. Very slow movers – which account for 40% of total items and less than 12% of sales – ship fewer than 6 cases per week” states Allan Kohl. He goes on to say “about half of all items, representing less than 15% of velocity in cases, fall into the ‘slow movers’ category, according to an analysis of retailers, wholesalers and foodservice distributors conducted by KOM.”
Allan Kohl joined KOM International in 1972 and has since managed several hundred logistics consulting projects involving completely automated materials handling systems, warehouse management systems, radio frequency and bar coding technologies, mechanized sortation facilities and other advanced distribution concepts.
