KOM International Presenting at the 2005 Productivity Convention

MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada, August 8, 2005 – KOM International Inc., a global leader in supply chain consulting, announced today that one of the firm's Senior Partners, Mr. Allan Kohl will provide two presentations at the 2005 Productivity Convention & Exposition hosted by FMI/IFDA to be held in Orlando, October 23 to 25, 2005.

Allan's presentation, Voice Recognition 101 is an overview of everything you need to know about voice recognition technology including the different types, who the major vendors are, and what you can expect to see in the future. This will serve as a prelude to a voice vendor panel with representatives from the 3 major players in the industry; Vocollect, Voxware and Lucas Systems.

WMS – The Basics is another presentation Allan will be making at the conference which will be part of a four hour module on the topic of warehouse management systems in which he will address some of the basic issues like: what you need to know to get started on the selection process; who are the major vendors; what you can expect a WMS to do and what you should not expect it to do; as well as some of the issues around linking to an existing system.

Allan Kohl is Practise Leader in the area of materials handling systems selection, design, and implementation for KOM International. Over the past 35 years, he has consulted for some of the largest and most sophisticated distribution firms in Canada, United States, Europe and Asia. Mr. Kohl has been published in numerous distribution trade journals and is often a featured speaker at industry trade shows.
