KOM International Opens Office in Monterrey – 2nd in Mexico
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada, February 14, 2005 – KOM International Inc., a global leader in supply chain consulting, announced today the official opening of its second office in Mexico. KOM International S.A. De C.V. – Monterrey is the firm's newest office, and follows the Texas office opening by only a few months. Antonio Rivero-Vasquez and Hernan Chacon are newly appointed Partners responsible for company operations in Mexico and will assist KOM International's clients in the region in all aspects of logistics strategy, distribution center design and implementation.
Over the past fifteen years, Antonio Rivero-Vasquez has worked with important manufacturing and service companies in Latin America. He possesses broad managerial experience, specifically in strategic planning, procurement and logistics. Antonio also has entrepreneurial experience as founder of his own food service company, and has provided consulting services for a wide range of businesses in Latin America. He speaks both Spanish and English fluently.
Antonio Rivero-Vasquez has a Civil Engineering degree from Universidad Metropolitana Caracas, Venezuela, with an MBA specialized in Marketing and Finance from Instituto de Estudios Superiores de Administración, IESA, Caracas, Venezuela.
Hernan Chacon has more than 10 years of experience in logistics and production for leading Latin American companies across a wide variety of industry segments. He has successfully participated in projects involving routing strategy design, forecasting and distribution planning, GPS technology implementation and strategy design, transportation management optimization, strategy network analysis, the design of new facilities, facility changeovers, and logistics strategy.
Mr. Chacon is fluent in both Spanish and English, and has a degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of America in Bogata, Colombia.
