KOM International Opens Office in Texas
MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada, October 27, 2004 – KOM International Inc., a global leader in supply chain consulting, announced today the appointment of Mr. Jimmy Benefield as Practise Leader – Engineered Standards & Incentives whose responsibilities include management of the firm's Texas office. KOM-USA, Texas in operation since September 1, 2004 is KOM International's newest office located in Dallas, Texas. As the key member of the KOM International team in Texas, Mr. Benefield will be assisting KOM International's clients in the region in all aspects of logistics strategy, distribution center design and implementation.
Mr. Benefield has over 15 years of experience in logistics management with leading North American and South American companies across a wide variety of industry segments. He has successfully participated in projects involving network analysis, the design of new facilities, facility changeovers, logistics strategy, transportation optimization, performance management, operational audits, and selection and implementation of supply chain software systems.
Mr. Benefield is the author of numerous articles and a lecturer on the subject of planning and improving warehouse operations, performance management, transportation optimization, warehouse management systems and supply chain management.
Mr. Benefield has a MBA from California Coast University, a BSc in Industrial Engineering from Texas A&M University, and a Certificate of Management (AMA) from the University of South Mississippi. He is Senior Member, Institute of Industrial Engineers, a member of WERC and CLM, and is a Registered Professional Engineer (Texas).
