KOM International Hosts 19th Annual KOM Klinic with Record Attendance

MONTREAL, Quebec, Canada, January 19, 2002 - KOM International Inc., a global leader in supply chain consulting, successfully concluded the 19th Annual KOM Klinic, "Striving for Efficiencies in the 21st Century". KOM International hosts the annual event for distribution executives, primarily from the Grocery industry, as a forum to share productivity concepts, technology solutions and industry best practices. Attendance at the 2002 conference included over 60 executives, the highest ever in the history of the event.

"I believe that the logistics executives that attend this event receive tremendous take-home value in the way of practical hands-on ways to improve the efficiency of their operations. The feedback from attendees on the quality of the event is excellent and we are looking forward to making next year's event bigger and better," according to Keith Swiednicki, Partner at KOM International.

The 19th Annual KOM Klinic was attended by participants from firms in Mexico, Canada and the United States, including: A. de la Chevrotière, Alimentation Couche-Tard, Associated Grocers of Maine, Flanagan Foodservice, Food Lion, Hannaford Brothers, Imperial Distributors, Kohl & Frisch, Laboratorios Pisa, Loblaws Companies, Masco Corporation, Price Chopper, Provigo Corporation, Québec-Livres, Roundy's, Shaw's Supermarkets, Sobey's, Stater Brothers, Tannis Food Distributors, Tibbett & Britten Group Canada, and Weis Markets, amongst others.

The highlight of the 2-day event was a keynote presentation from Mr. Richard Kochersperger of the Food Marketing Group, who provided informative insight on the state of the Grocery industry and what to expect looking forward. Other presentations that were well received included "Ten lessons Learned on how to buy WMS Software" by Marc Wulfraat of KOM International and a presentation from Ron Cellupica of Price Chopper on the benefits of order selection using voice recognition technology.

The next KOM Klinic is scheduled to be held in Mont Tremblant, Quebec from June 11-13, 2003.
